Main Ingredients
Fresh Cranberries | 12 oz. |
Pure Maple Syrup | 3/4 cup |
Takara Mirin | 1/4 cup |
Orange Juice or Mixture of Cranberry, Lemon, Apple juice, etc. | 1 cup |
Orange Zest | 2 tablespoons |
Lemon Zest | 1 tablespoon |
Raisins and/or Mixed Currants | 1 cup |
Cinnamon, Nutmeg, All Spice | To taste |
Roughly Chopped Pecans | *Optional 1/2 cup |
Directions
Wash cranberry. Add all the ingredients together in a medium sauce pan on high heat and bring to boil |
After it reaches a rolling boil, reduce heat to medium low and simmer it for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst and juice is thicker |
Remove from heat. Cool completely at the room temperature before chill in refrigerator. As it cools, cranberry sauce will thicken. |
